Action analysis based on an existing All-in-One video conferencing system
A market analysis of existing video conferencing systems and a subsequent analysis of a selected product have shown that many of the available solutions are inflexible and cumbersome to use. These devices often include features that are either superfluous or difficult to access. The seamless connection between physical and virtual interaction poses a particular challenge. A video conferencing system should enable a natural conversation atmosphere rather than being perceived as an obstacle. The developed product should therefore impress with its intuitive operation and adaptability in order to avoid distractions caused by unnecessary functions. In addition, flexible and uncomplicated use must be guaranteed.

Design Package
The system features a compact design, a 360° camera, and an omnidirectional microphone with adjustable quality. Calendar entries and apps are integrated, while haptic and acoustic feedback supports operation. Customizable buttons and special functions enable flexible use. The technical design of the device is based on several technical components. It features an integrated woofer, tweeter, 360° camera, circuit boards, and a large battery to ensure long runtime. The initial design drawings and form studies served to explore basic proportions and design approaches. Variants were examined in terms of ergonomics and technical integration. The final design was chosen based on this.

Prototyping
During the design process, the shape was developed using sketches, cardboard models, and 3D-printed prototypes, and optimized through various adjustments. The resulting basic volume consists of two opposing cylinders that enable ergonomic handling. The design follows a clear design language and supports intuitive operation. The size was dimensioned so that the system protrudes above conventional laptops and ensures optimal capture of participants by the camera.

Final product
The final design concept uses materials such as textured plastic and a mesh covering to create a high-quality feel. The controls are minimal and have been designed to enable intuitive and error-free operation. Thanks to their clear arrangement and tactile design, they can be operated safely even without visual control. In addition, their shape follows that of the main body and blends into the overall picture. An LED indicator also provides information about various operating states.
Controls - Software
Two freely assignable hotkeys, identified by different symbols, allow the user to individually configure special functions and call them up immediately. Centralized software bundles all device and conference functions to ensure a smooth user experience. This simplifies handling and eliminates the need to use multiple applications simultaneously.
